my friends and i have this bet that 3 of us will go goth and the other(who’s goth) will cheery or preppy or sumthin.i would just copy off some goth black guy in school,but they’ve gone extinct.please help.i have to morph by monday.

I’m finishing up my third semester at school and I’m finding it difficult to sell back my copy of Gardner’s Art Through the Ages (Twelfth Edition, Volume I), the book for my Ancient and Medieval Art class, because I love how comprehensive it is. (I am, however, going to sell the book back, because it’s way more expensive a book than I need!) I particularly love Ancient Greek and Roman, Early Medieval, Romanesque, and Gothic art and architecture. This was the first art history class I’ve ever taken, and while I doubt I’ll take another one during my college career, I don’t want to forget how much I enjoyed the class. Do you have any suggestions for a book that covers these periods? I would prefer more images than text, mainly because I just like to look at the art and analyze it myself. Any ideas?

seriously i wear a lot of black t-shirts with black eyeliner black and white converse black eyeshadow (or grey depends on my mood) and black nailpolish and i'm considered goth WTF?
don't get me wrong i don't care it's just i've lost a lot of "friends" because of the way i dress and because their parents say they don't want their child to hang out with a goth

Over the last year or so she went from listening to top 40 pop music to classic rock, to quite heavy, alternative rock. She likes bands like AFI, My Chemical Romance and Aiden (which is classified as gothic or horror punk). I understand that I'm older and probably not very in touch with today's culture, but I've read the lyrics of some of the songs she likes and they are arout death and blood and suicide and overdosing. I haven't let them be put on her iPod but she was given the CD's by her Mom of all people so I don't feel like I can take those away. Plus one over her friends will make her mixed CD's of them that she sneaks onto iTunes. I have removed many things that we didn't approve of but it just seems she idolizes that so much, and if we let her she'd be wearing black makeup, lipstick and nail polish and who knows what else. (for all I know she probably already does when she is away from home. Any advice or am I just too protective?
