Why are bands like Bauhaus, HIM, Nightwish, Qntal considered Gothic and music like: "Gary Jules – Mad World"," Soundgarden – Black Hole Sun" are not?
What I’m asking really is: "What criteria does music have to meet to be considered Gothic music?"

I just got my hair dyed and it looks a little (a lot) darker than it was supposed to. It’s basically black now, and I want to avoid looking goth or "emo". There’s nothing wrong with these styles, but I don’t want to seem like I’m trying to fit into those cliques at my school. What can I wear/not wear to accomplish this?Will wearing black automatically make me look like that? Anyone else out there have black hair?

I am in the mood to try new alcoholic beverages, and despite it being disproven to cause hallucinogenic effects, I still would like to try it. Unfortunately, it is illegal in the US, and therefore hard to get in Canada, let alone Saskatoon. Is there a store that sells it, or would import it for a decent price?

I would simply rather not import it myself.

i like to wear the color black. one day my friend called me gothic. i have nothing against gothic people, but i’m puerto rican/black. and i’ve never heard of a puerto rican gothic b4. i like rock music and most of the time i wear black. but am i a gothic?

Am i the only black guy who loves Goth Females? i think theyre as bad as it gets. Also i dont care much for Britney Sprs but when she cut her hair i feel i was the only one on earth who thought that was the coolest thing she ever could have done. Talk ta me yall
