Stuff featuring the piano and violin, you know, intrumental..but not with an electric guitar or lyrics..cuz I have Evanescence for that. ^.^

Help?

I’ve heard about the genre,
but not really about any of the music or bands behind it.
I’d like to hear some ‘Under Ground Gothic Music’
Would anyone care to suggest some bands?
Uhm…
I am going to pretend I didn’t see Kath’s answer.

I love to wear black, listen to gothic music, and wear black crosses. Anyway, she told me I looked stupid and I was a gothic freak. I now feel very insecure about myself.

Oh, I’m not gothic, btw. If I were, I would own a trench coat, but I don’t (It’s on my birthday list, though. They look so comfortable).
Bauhaus is an amazing band, btw!!!

I’m trying to find some soft gothic music with female vocals. I’m christian so I don’t want anything bad. I don’t want satanic or ant-christian music. I just want to try to find some good soft gothic music. Thanks for the help.

As I look through questions on Yahoo! Answers, I see a lot of questions involving the Gothic livestyle/musical genre. I’ve also been seeing a lot of negative comments, calling Goths "devil worshippers" and "unloved children". Why do so many people stereotype Gothic people as Satanists ready to open fire at their local high school? Whenever a school shooting or other violent crime occurs, fingers are always quick to point at the fact that the shooter was Gothic and it was only a matter of time until they committed a crime. Yet there’s little said when the blonde haired, blue eyed kid commits a violent crime.
Has "Gothic" become merely the scapegoat of our society?
For everyone who has called a Gothic peson "evil, Satanic, ect.", have you ever spoken with a true Goth, not some kid who just fell out of Hot Topic? Go find someone who listens to real Gothic music [mostly from the 80s] and see if they don’t offer you an intelligent conversation.
Black clothing does not a true Goth make.

I dont’ know how to explain. But the music sounds a little gothic, but at the same time it’s really beautiful and the melody is really nice (and osmetimes sounds pretty sad too). It kind of sound slike – Secret (by The Pierces) and aso Marionette (by Hamasaki Ayumi) and also Still doll (by UNKOWN. ;P).

Like brooding piano music. I want to add the artists to my pandora radio….its for a play list to help me while I write. Any suggestions?
That’s great music! It may work for a bit…its hard to describe what I’m looking for…been listening to a selection from Carter Burwell and David Nevue…their darker stuff. Thanks for the music though…I’m listening now!

She sometimes paints her nails and toenails black. She is not a goth or emo.

She is a real feminist though. I have not noticed if she does it when she is depressed or unhappy.
She is 22 and I am 24.

If anyone has heard Christina Aguilera’s "Enter the Circus"/"welcome" song, I am looking for the type of music you hear at the beginning of the video. The music that sounds like OLD gothic style circus music. I need it for a dance. THANKS!
