Where can I get Absinthe in Amsterdam and what are some of the “hot spots” to hit?
My Husband and I are going to amsterdam and we want to know whare to get absinthe. Also what are some of the best "Hot spots" to see while we’re there? The best smoke shops resturants and shopping spots, stuff like that.

Absinthe is for sale in most liquor stores shouldn’t be to hard to find, even a lot of bars sell you Absinthe (per glass) but to tell you the truth, in the drink there is to much alcohol to really notice the absinthe itself. (you’ll only get drunk, and won’t see any hallucinations, even if you are really used to drinking)
i think with "smoke shops" you mean coffeeshops (for smoking weeds) to tell you the truth, most coffeeshops in Amsterdam are not that good, If you have time, go to any other city for better weed, if you are bound to Amsterdam, just ask around (with the locals) for good coffeeshops. (most coffeeshops in Amsterdam are to used to Tourists, selling you crappy, overpriced weed)
Amsterdam is just awesome , smoke shop not sure the restaurants are all over . Ask the locals they will help you . Stay away from the cabs they will stir you wrong . Always ask 3 times and you will get the good answers 2 out of 3 .
Just walk around downtown, trust me, you’ll have no trouble. I’m jealous!
Absinthe is available throughout the Netherlands. Any liquor store should stock it. As for the Hot Spots: just walk around city centre. Most famous coffee shop: http://www.abraxasparadise.nl/

*edit* I agree with Preykill: don’t just walk into any old coffeeshop! Ask where the locals go!
