We have a great relationship, we spend a lot of our time together, we skydive together, he’s my best friend, and we love each other very much. This would be a picture-perfect relationship except one thing is lacking: the romance. As sweet as he is, he doesn’t know how to be romantic. We’ve discussed this several times, and he always says that he has been used to dating the "goth" girls who didn’t care, and not a more "girly girl" (like me I guess?) who wanted romance. I think I first brought up this topic with him a few months ago, and since then he has made no effort to start adding romance into our relationship. I’m not asking for him to buy me expensive presents or anything like that, just the little stuff, like a love note every once in a while or him tellin me he can’t take his eyes off of me. He tells me that he loves me all of the time, and he says that is how he expresses his love…. but to me "I love you" and "you mean the world to me" say two totally different things.

OK, maybe I’m crazy here but I always wondered what kind of guy I would ultimately marry. I’m not married yet, but when I was in college, there weren’t that many black men. I wasn’t raised as a "stereotype"

The ones that were there either did not blatantly like me (they thought I was too preppy, etc.) on the d/l, or dated white girls. The white boys in college liked me from a distance but never took any action, (except for this 1 guy who I am still friends w/ today).

I noticed that in college, most extreme people normally date each other(ie-goth date goth, preppy date preppy, etc.) But for me I never thought of myself as an "extreme" I was pretty well-rounded, hung out w/ all sorts of groups, etc.

I don’t want to make this seem like it’s only a race question & it probably isn’t a big deal but the question is: have you ever wondered (& I guess this ? is for everyone) what race you would end up marrying? Is it unpredictable? Why did you wonder this? etc.

I consider myself an "equal opportunity" dater. However, I have some interests that I have not yet found in a black male companion. Also, many of the black men that approach me are "questionable" in nature (ie-urban, etc.) I am also more traditionally attracted to white & Latin men.

I don’t know where I would find these interests, but I just wonder about this sometimes. If I need to be more clear, please let me know.

By all means, I don’t want this to sound like I have something against black men or that I have a complex. I do love & respect them but I have found that the ones who are attracted to me are not the ones I’d consider for a stable, long term relationship. Please don’t think I have a complex.

I wear casual and sometimes sporty clothes. Although I find Gothic women EXTREMELY attractive. Their mysterious figure with a touch of corruption makes me (a non Gothic guy) crazy. Do I have to be a Goth to date a Gothic woman?

I am 20 and have not been on a date in 2 years. I get told that I am attactive, but cant find anyone with similar intrests. Any ideas? It gets pretty lonley at times going for a walk in the graveyard, without someone to share it with.

Ok, I have a simple question for emos, punks, goths, and others, sorry if I forget the others.Would you be interested in a black girl, do you ever think that a black girl could ever be your type or would you ever date them etc.? Oh, and not necessarily a emo black girl, just like a regular one(but it doesn’t really matter_ I just want your honest answer and a comment would be very nice also. I don’t need to hear that "It shouldn’t matter what your skin color is" mumbo jumbo I just want to hear your answer.

alright, i was bored, so i signed onto this goth dating site just for laughs. i used the zip code of a town near me, cause i needed one to sign up. i wasnt planning on talking to anyone cause i just wanted to browse other peoples profiles to have some laughs. loong story short, some random dude messaged me and wouldnt leave me alone so i started saying i was ugly and a man and stuff so he would leave me alone. he was kinda creepy…like it really freaked me out. he was just saying weird stuff (not perverted or antyhing, just odd), and when i said i was a dude, he blocked me. thank god.

now i TRIED deleting my account but teh site wont send me a email w/ the confirmation letter. wtf. i also changed my personal details saying i lived in mexico and i have my profile set so basically no one can contact me. i dont plan on going on the site again..

How can you determine is a gay but tries to deny it from himself?

I know this guy who has a some feminine qualities, wears makeup (I guess goth look), will do things to "prove" he is a man, constantly makes remarks about his "man card" and his manliness, and likes to mention his girlfriend(s) or dates excessively. He is currently dating someone and is really pushing for marriage after dating a few months.

It’s possible he is really straight, but on the other hand he could be gay but be in denial. People have openly asked him before if he was gay, of course he always denies it. If he marries this girl and is gay then the marriage is bound to fail… Is there any way to determine is he is in fact in denial?

I always see preps dating preps and goths dating goths. I really like this guy and he is far from the style I am. Would he like me any better if i dressed like him. I believe style doesnt matter when it comes to attraction but i want peoples input
