What do you think about the goth/punk subculture?
I don’t call my self goth but I do dress like it; I just don’t really see why people have to label things all the time. But it will take forever to explain! To me it’s a way of expression and how one chooses to see the world and among other things. Being goth or punk doesn’t have to do with worshiping devil. Even though people will find some goths that aren’t Christians. This will clarify the subculture. “For people with the gothic personality, their involvement is not merely a rebellious phase, but part of their inner self. Those likely to become interested in Goth and remain involved in it will usually possess most of the following characteristics and traits beforehand: individualistic, reflective, artistic, creative, introspective, emotionally focused and driven, sensitive, non-violent, moody. They are likely to have distaste for authority, possess above average intelligence, and be social misfits. Most are interested in the beautiful, the mysterious and the supernatural”.

At the beginning of the statement you said " I don't call myself goth but i do dress like it". If you are not a goth, why is this so important to you? Don't worry about what other people think about you, they suck! No one has the right to judge you. Next time someone calls you a goth, tell them to kiss your a**! When I dress, sometimes I like to show skin, people can call me a sl*t, but I don't give a damn, I'm married with a 1 year old, I know I'm not a sl*t and my husband does, so who cares what they think!
Like any "subculture" it is just different than the majority. It is up to every person to decide if something is ok oe not or cool or creepy. I am sure a married yuppie like me is wierd to a true goth. variety is the spice of life
I don't care about labels. I did used to be like that back in high school when I was 16.
I am a rocker, I love rock music and ONLY ROCK (and it's general categories), I still wear a lot of black but that is my style. I don't care what people have to say about me.
So you are saying GOTHS are artistic. I love art, photography, bondage all the good ole' freak categories, but…I'm rambling no so I'll shut up.
