Haunted Places in Colorado?
So yeah Halloween coming up my curiosity peaking again about haunted places around my county and the state.
I’m down around Pueblo County.
I know a few of the haunted places like Rosemount Museum ( for which my best guess is that it is haunted since they wont even talk about ghosts in that place). Umm please dont say the Honor Farm because that’s just a load of crap. I know about the Stanley in Denver and the Ghost Lights in Silvercliff’s cemetary but those are both way too far of a drive to see.
I’d prefer more like personal stories or experiances, places that friends and family have told you about. Oh and please dont link me to Shadowlands website…about 90% of the places they list are complete BS. Decapitated gothic students in a high school…yeah..sure..show me the news paper from when that happened and I’ll believe there’s ghosts there.
Anyways yeah, I’ve tried posting something about his on a local forum and all I got were people arguing because they think theyre important..nothings about spirits or hauntings.
Sooo, any help would be great and thanks for taking the time to read this mess of a question.
Ciao

I know it’s a far piece from Pueblo but Valley Brook Cemetery in Breckenridge is known for paranormal events. Your question reminded me of an event I hadn’t thought of in a long time. This happened in the winter of 75-76. I lived in a small cabin on some acreage which extended to the cemetery grounds which was and still is surrounded by a sturdy wrought iron fence. In those days I regularly walked from town to my cozy winter retreat and always had to pass the cemetery on my way home. As I recall it was a cold blustery night and snow was quietly falling as I approached the cemetery. Suddenly, I saw car lights inside the cemetery and my heart started beating hard as the car followed me through the graveyard. It seemed to creep along purposefully keeping pace with my steps. I was frightened to the core as I couldn’t imagine what a car would be doing there at that late hour and why was it following me? I also thought about the deep snow on the ground and wondered how a car could even be in there. After passing the cemetery I hurried down the 1/4 mile path to my cabin, my heart still racing. It snowed hard that night and so when I investigated the scene the next day there was no evidence of a vehicle having been there. Had it not snowed would there have been tracks? I don’t know, but it is a haunting memory. Thanks for reminding me of it.
The sites below will tell you more about it, including documentation of a freak Halloween storm in 1997 that damaged much of the cemetery. The winds howled to 100 mph and knocked down around a thousand lodge pole pines.
What you should be looking for is the remains of a old ghost town……..
Hey, i live in Colorado to and there are no such things as ghosts. I have been in places everywhere that people said were haunted, but huh, funny, nothin’ there but some ol’ cobwebs. People see what they want to see, that is it, they are just old horror tales to keep little kids thinking, probably a dad told his kid a spirit haunted his house so he wouldn’t leave his room. And it just went on from there. There is no actual proof of ghosts.
