what exactly do goths wers as fashion?
i am thinking of turning goth because i always feel alone and sad and black suits my moods. Then i read about the culture and the poetry and art and i was atonished. That type of character suited me just completly. But i don’t have a lot of black clothes in my wardrobe so i figured to ask you. What type of clothes do gothic people wear. I researched on all typed of goth and i like the romantic goth at best. But everywhere i read poeple say diffrent stuff and i got confused. So please if you can tell me some outfits that romantic gothic girls would wear. Thank you

romanti goth girls generally wear a lot of velvet, Victorian style clothing, including corsets, tall boots, long skirts, black lace, "frock" coats. Basically a lot of dark, historically flavored clothing. The goth culture is built on creativity and individuality, so please try to be your own vision. If you could wear anything, what would it be? do you like soft plush velvet, or a harder look with buckles and fishnet? do you want to look like a creature of the past, or a vision of the future? Find yourself in the darkness…with best wishes from the Uber Goth
Goth attitude doesn’t have to reflect in silly clothes. You can feel as spooky and dark and dreary as you want without having to resort to black lace and a silver cane. As a goth myself, I listen to the music I want, wear what I want (yes, it tends to be black, but I do like that it matches everything), and I don’t tie myself down to a fashion trend. When I was into the goth dressing thing a long time ago, I leaned toward what is called gothic-punk. I liked freaky hair and black leather (think chick in Matrix). I totally didn’t go the lame vampire halloween costume route that a lot of people do. I used to go to clubs and they were full of people that did the goth-punk thing, the vampire lace thing, and then there are plenty of people that just wear what they want. Now I can’t say that a person that thinks that they feel "gothic" are going to caught dead in a Fubu t-shirt, but so what if they are? My husband wears old cordoroys and bland colored t-shirts and I would consider him to fall into the gothic stereotype even if he doesn’t think so. Now I wear mostly black or grey or muted earth colors. I wear smokey colored make up. My hair tends to be a different color every month or two. That is where I still go a little crazy. Just don’t do the trenchcoat. So overdone. What I am trying to get at, is you can feel any way you want. You don’t need to look a certain way. Wear what you want and read some good moody books.
They wear whatever they want. Don’t let that a lot of goth’s dye their hair black and wear all black influence you. Wear waht you feel comfortable wearing and have you hair styled how you like it. I’m sorry but I have beautiful blonde hair and that doesn’t make me any less goth or anything else compaired to someone that feels the need to look like they’re going to a funeral at all times of the day of night. Now mind you black and red are two of my favorite colors but I don’t limit myself on my look. Or my thoughts for that matter.
