I have access to an old bridal gown, now I want to turn it into a gothic bride for halloween. Any ideas?
I know I’m going to shorten it, and I’ll have dark eye makeup, but I need more ideas. I’m leaning more toward the vampire bride look. Plus I have limited time. I need this costume for tonight. Please give any ideas you have, all will be appreciated!

i would alter the hem unevenly, as if its really old and been torn. try white fishnet hose and gloves, if you can’t find those at a halloween supply store, than im sure a sex shop in town will have it. and if you can find Go Go boots, you know the Knee High boots, then thats a major plus. also. Blood. Have some one take a paint brush, dip it in blood and fling it at you. Not the brush itself but the blood. you can make it look like she dismembered some people.
make it look more old, like wet some cloth in coffee and stain the dress
or just leave it and concentrate on the pale face and black lips!
since you are going to shorten it… you could chop the bottom to make zig zag egdes and wear those black tight pants underneath with the lace.
you need some gothy rings and jewelry. you could make a hoop nose ring out of an old earring or something by pinching the loop together so it will stay on your nose and not fall off.
purple is a good color with black to make your wedding dress look gothicy. you could spray your hair purple and black.
dont go overboard though
