Everyone seems to think so! I’ve never thought of myself as being one, but I guess others perceive me to be. I asked my best friend why she thought I was, and she basically gave me this check list of reasons:
-I’m pale (though I prefer to think of myself as fair)
-I have naturally dark straight hair that is currently almost to my waist
-I have a Nightmare Before Christmas Bedset (hey, it’s cute and I got it off eBay) and dark grey walls
-I don’t like to socialize and have few friends (by choice)
-I’m a writer, and love art and literature
-My favorite bands are Nine Inch Nails, Flyleaf, Evanescence, Korn and Seether. But I do listen to other stuff.
- and I love horror movies

I don’t dress goth though. Granted, I’ve been known to wear a few Hot Topic tees, but my style is actually pretty girly. And I don’t wear dark make-up! In fact, I wear like, no make-up.

Would you consider me Goth?

hey everyone. One of my friends gave me "Gothic Art Now" as a early christmas gift. I read it through once, and the second time, I noticed there was an artist who wrote something like "As an adult, i picked up alice in wonderland a few summers ago, and rather than a dream like place its a more darker environment". Its NOT written like that word from word. Thats just a quick little summary I made from what the artist said. Alice in Wonderland has always interested me greatly, the story line and characters, and the slight confusion of everything! (well not slight confusion..) and I have found my own share of ideas on what aspects of the story can be percieved as dark. The beheading of people was obviously one of them, but just one of them. there are so many more and i would like to hear what others had ideas are on the darker aspects. So what would you say has more of a darker and meloncholy part in the story? And another thing was, I have a sister who told me there was a twisted version of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Its a book. I am not talking about any movies, so if such book exists, can you give me the name and author? Thanks everyone. Happy holidays to all XD

My cousin is into gothic music and describes herself as a goth and we don’t know what to get her for christmas. We usually spend £10 or under so what are the latest cd’s out that she might like?

My friends always get me super amazing presents, and this year I wanna get them something awesome. I can spend around 30$ on each of them, give or take.

1- she loves make-up, but has plenty of it, and of make up bags. She listens to lots of music, and is antisocial.

2- Her favorite movie is the nightmare before christmas. She has lots of jewlery, and like vampires and gothic midevily things.

3-Shes very preppy. Likes the beach, and polka dots.

Now that it’s legal, I’ve seen brands like Kubler and Lucid in bars and available on-line, but I’d like to purchase a bottle from a liquor store for a Christmas present.

My gosh, it’s not even Christmas, and already, I’m thinking about next Halloween. Anyways, next year I want to really go all out, and do myself up as a sexy gothic movie vampire; specifically, as far as the movies, where might I begin to look, as far as inspiration??? I definitely don’t want to do this on the cheap, so are there any specific websites, where I could get some real good quality special effects make-up supplies???

I don’t really know how to explain the type of music that I want, but its something dramatic. lol.

Some music from the following groups or movies are some that I’ve heard, but would like to listen to others: Muse, My chemical romance, (Snowball in Negative) by the divine comedy, The nightmare before christmas soundtrack, Misa Misa’s song (from Death note), Intros and endings to Vampire Knight (anime)… and others that I can’t remember. lol

I have a work acquaintance that I need to get a Christmas present for. Her style is kind of retro goth. She is basically one of those girls that normally wears black or dark colors and has dyed black really styled hair but she is also into 50’s type style. The closest celebrity I could compare her to style wise would be Amy Winehouse. She is moody and normally makes fun of people presents because she has very specific taste. I don’t want to get a gift certificate because I know she will think it is lame. Does anyone know someone similar to this? Can you suggest present ideas? I really want to wow her with something she will love. My budget is 50 dollars max.

i really like him alot.. hes perfect
the only thing is he doesnt act goth at all
he is the most happy go lucky, nicest person you could ever meet
its just the way he dresses..

so wht do i get him for christmas?
he said he wants a gift card to a liquor store… but i doubt they do that haha =P
