I think long dresses/short raggy ones are pretty as well as some Gothic art and literature. Yes I’m gothic if you haven’t noticed.

People say that I am Goth (I guess I’m OK with that) and some say I’m a Girly girl. (Gross!) And some say I’m a tomboy. SO I’m asking you how much of a tomboy I am and how gothic I am.

On the tomboy side: I HATE HATE HATE HATE skirts, the color pink, light purple. Dresses are fine if they have black or something on it. I like skorts. I love shorts. My favourite sports are boxing, kickboxing, martial arts, soccer, baseball. I like sports that involve fighting, but wrestling kinda freaks me out. I love to watch things with violence and gore, like Happy Tree Friends! LOL! My favourite type of music is rock (Fall Out Boy. Green Day. Linkin Park)

On the goth side: I am addicted to the color black.

So how much of a tomboy am I and how goth am I.
And for more tomboy stuff: I’m not very "polite." I wipe my hands on my pants (That pisses my parents off) and I like to prank people.
Another thing. People call me a girly girl b/c my mom buys me pink stuff. My mom and I are women, so of course, my mom’s gonna buy me girl stuff.

Have you ever seen Underworld? The Vampiresses wear gothic type stuff along with sophisticated ballroom type dresses. Where can I get some?

What makes a Goth, Goth, besides the taste in music. The one common thing goths do is listen to gothic rock and related genres (deathrock, post-punk, dark wave ect), but apart from that, what do Goths do? I am a big fan of Gothic music, so I would count myself as Goth, but what about literature and art, where does this fit in? Does someone who doesnt enjoy Gothic literature a Goth? And is someone who doesnt like Gothic music, but dresses in Gothic fashion and reads Gothic literature a goth? My personal view is that you have to listen to the music to be goth, then the rest; fashion, art, literature is up to you, you can do what you like with it? But whats your view, your experience of this?

I need some advice for anyone out there that’s dated outside of there "circut". I’ve been with Gabriel for about 10 months now and he’s very hardcore goth, supporting the makeup, outfit, music, attitude everything. While I wear the sterotypical "Prep" wear, slacks, khakis, sweater vests, pink fliry dresses, girly skirts the works. Your probably thinking "How did this pair happen?" It’s very simple, I don’t care about what label you are, the same with him, we love each other very much and that’s all that matters, plus I like almost everything, I’m eclectic, I love him for him not his ’style’ and vice versa, we also have a lot in common. So any advice to keep his and my disapproving friends from spliting us up? He’s the greatest thing that’s happened in my life I don’t wanna lose him because our very different ‘parties’ disagree.

A couple of years ago, a band got some radio play that had a similar look and singing style (Gothic Rock) to Evanescense. The lead singer looked like Kate Beckinsale in Underworld, that’s the best I can remember about her. I have completely forgotten the name of the band, I just know they came out around the time that the last Evanescense CD was released, and I kept thinking "What good timing to be such a similar band releasing a new CD".

Anyway, I hope someone with some Rock knowledge would know what band I’m talking about that is fronted by a female with a male backing band, dresses like Amy Lee and sings gothic radio rock songs. Because I have struggled all day to remember and cannot.

*It’s not Flyleaf, I have their CD.
*ALSO: I believe they are from Germany or Russia, and they are not HIM, even though Him is pretty girly. This band actually has a female lead.

Everyone whines that it’s tradition to wear white, in the Victorian era brides wore their best dress, black, pink, blue, red, white was not a common choice. White was only worn after Queen Elizabeth wore a white dress to her wedding. It was a trend the queen set, if she had worn silver then everyone would wear silver to immitate her. Puffy white dresses are not for eveyone, some brides have style and want to wear a black cocktail dress to have a chic wedding. Cookie cutter weddings are boring and so are all the identical puffy a-line strapless dresses everyone wears. There is nothing wrong with a black wedding dress, it’s a choice based on personal taste. Why does everyone assume if you wear black you are a goth or going to a funeral, black is a powerful color that’s why professionals have closets fully stocked with black suits.

My school is having a Military Ball and girls have to wear semi formal gowns but I hate dresses so I have no Idea what to wear!!!
I’m pretty goth, and I hate pink.
I have short brown hair but I might get like extensions or something for it.
And I’m black, so some stuff will simply not look right on me.

because when she wasn’t dating him she was all girly and sweet and didn’t look all well………………goth like and well it was when he broke up with her.My brothers girlfriend thinks she is dressing like that because she is trying to get Joel back and to keep her away from Nichol Richie and I tottally agree with her I mean I don’t really like her that much anymore she makes me not want to be a singer anymore and trust me I take singing lessons and I can sing gr8 man I wish she could read this she would probobally stop the whole goth stuff I mean well what do you think?
