The Birthday Massacre
Marlyn Manson
Flyleaf

I listen to a lot more but these are the peeps that I like the most!

so would you call my style of music gothic or emo????

I’m doing a project in school and I need to find a song that will fit with dark and eerie poetry. Something calm but creepy. But not too creepy. Just enough to make you think of spider webs and dark fountains with a beautiful gothic woman standing near holding a black rose. Something along those lines. Think of Edgar Allan Poe’s poems like the raven. When I read that one I could just imagine a dark black and grey setting and that’s the kind of music I need. Please help!

Does anybody have any good, ominous sounding poetry they could suggest? I’m looking for a quote to place at the start of a story, preferably one from a creepy or ominous/gothic poem. I know Edgar Allan Poe is a good start, but I can’t find anything yet.
So, does anybody have any good quotes, or poetry that they can suggest?
