My friend lives in Europe and I want her to mail me a bottle of absinthe. Is this possible, or will they not deliver it to me? Can she pour it in something else? Basically… how should she pack it?

I'm curious as to whether the change in legality of absinthe makes a difference for bringing absinthe back from Europe to the US? How should I declare it, and what happens if it gets seized? What are the chances of it getting seized? I'm thinking about getting it for a friend back home, but I don't want to have any legal troubles.

Does Europe, and places like Amsterdam, have the real absinthe that makes you trip balls and see green fairy’s.
and how many glasses of absinthe does it take to see some green fairy's flying around and talking to you.

Absinthe is this herbal form of grain alcohol that was especially popular among artists in Europe around 1900. Many of the great painters of that time (Van Gogh, Renoir, etc) were said to have been regular drinkers of absinthe. A modern version of this drink is available today, but I must admit I'm a bit skeptical.

I've heard that absinthe is very inspirational to artists and creative people, but I've also heard that it causes brain damage of some kind. Any words of wisdom on this? Or better yet… Anyone care to share some of their personal experiences with absinthe?
