im really into gothic industrial music and i was just wondering what your favorite gothic industrial band is? ill give best answer to the first person that matches my favorite band.

This was partially inspired by BC. During the mid 90’s, we had several bands like Gravity Kills or Stabbing Westward that got attention. We even had radio shows on the weekends devoted to underground industrial. Not so today. Other than NIN and maybe Lacuna Coil, none of these other bands ever see the light of day. Even satellite radio stays clear of the genre. Why is this? And please don’t tell me it’s about the money because I’m not buying that argument.
Prof – Hey, good to see you again! Even groups like The Shins or Rilo Kiley get airplay. Maybe not a ton but far more than MSI, Skinny Puppy or Apoptygma Berzerk who get zilch.
Given2Fly – But I want my music to snarl at me like Billy Idol.
Sookie – But didn’t radio enjoy making money during the 90’s? They were still able to play some industrial music AND rake in the dollars. Also, this applies to both XM & Sirius. What are they scared of?
GK Dub – I truly believe people develop much of their musical tastes from what the radio gives them. Crazy as it sounds, I could imagine those very same teenage girls getting excited over Ministry and KMFDM if only they were exposed to it. If all you get is Nickelback, not everyone is going to know better.
MachPen – Agreed, but punk music, indie music, country music, electronica and metal never went into hibernation. You are more likely to hear Slayer and Pantera at any given time than anything industrial. Unlike hair metal and new wave, there are still plenty of these bands in existence.

im tired of ppl who say they are goth and they promote the stereo type that goths shop a t hottopic. most fo the ppl who calim they are goth are actually another style of punk. most of the people who claim to be goth tell me that there favorite goth band is something like my chemical romance. they obviously do not know what goth music is. and when i ask them if they listen to bauhaus, sisters of mercy, siouxsie and the banshee they say no. i ask them if they know what industrial music is they say no. i am just trying to make a statement about ppl who claim to be goth but truely are not.

I like this goth girl. She only wears dark clothes and listens to German industrial music, but other than that I’m not sure how much into it she is.
We talk on the phone 1-3 hours a night and we really have a good connection. I like her and I know she likes me but I don’t know if it would work. We have a different style. I am not a goth guy. Not even close. Does that matter? I guess I am kinda preppy. Could a goth girl be interested in me?

I never called her goth. She called herself goth.

She is a sweet, caring person and she really loves animals (especially kittens and puppies) so I joke with her and say "You’re the worst goth girl ever!" She gets a good laugh out of that.
I just thought it was weird that she likes me. She doesn’t look like my type but once I got to know her I found out that she totally is.

Ok, I've been a site member for a VERY long time, long enough to remember when their were no emo/scene kids in the site… The site is for "Gothic Industrial Culture" I'm trying to figure out why (scene/emo) have to ruin everything for original underground websites… they spread faster than STDs…. I know you don't have to prove yourself of one of the Industrial Culture but seriously? We don't come on thier forums and livejournals.

Please note this is an OBSERVATION, don't get crappy and offended. I'm not trying to be ignorant or anything… I'm just observing…

Lol, we've almost have lost our site… Nobody talks anymore and everybodys worried about how many hot scene friends you have and if you got rated a +10… All these "proof" videos and beauty cults…. effing retarded.
